Atomic Big
Daddy Alpine Ski:
The Atomic Big Daddy is, well, the Big Daddy of
the ski world. It's for big western mountains,
big powder days, and big skiers. The Atomic Big
Daddy comes in one size: 193cm, with a whopping
107mm under the foot. (That's as wide as the Beta
9.22 all-terrain ski is at the tip!) If you like
skiing all things big, then there is no other
ski for you. This is the biggest baddest pure
freeride ski on the hill, but it's probably not
the only ski in your quiver. That means when it
dumps big, your powder panic will double since
you'll be itchin' to step onto the Big Daddy.
Bottom Line: The “who's your Daddy”
jokes will get old—restrict yourself to
one per day. |

Dynastar
Legend Pro Rider Ski:
The Dynastar Legend Pro Rider alpine ski can be
summed up by its name. The Pro demands and delivers
a high-performance ride. This season, the 194cm
sports the same sidecut as the 186cm, making this
mammoth ski even bigger. The Pro Rider is not
designed for the faint of heart. Made for Mach
50 straightlines, powerful big mountain pow turns,
and explosive inbounds schralping, this ski will
give you the ride of a lifetime. The mixed wood
core, titanium laminate, and full-length sidewalls
make this ski one you've gotta stay on top of.
The Pro's beefy 90mm waist makes it the perfect
choice for steep open pow fields, while its stiff
torsional rigidity keeps it responsive and aggressive
in less desirable conditions. The Pro comes in
just two burly sizes, 186cm and 194cm.
Bottom Line: Are you ready to go Pro? |

Garmont Dynamite
G-Fit Alpine Touring Boot:
The Garmont Dynamite G-Fit Alpine Touring boot
is the best value in the Garmont line for a Dynafit
compatible boot. It offers the right balance of
skiing support and touring comfort for all around
ski mountaineering. The Dynamite comes with the
G-Fit Mid custom thermo-formable liner which is
a step down in height and stiffness from the G-Fit
High liner (not pictured), and has a flex panel
for touring comfort. The G-Fit liner features
a tongue-design that maintains the shell's forward
lean, is more responsive to forward pressure,
and provides better ankle flex than overlap designs.
The Garmont Dynamite G-Fit Alpine Touring boot
is for people who spend more time in the skin
line than the lift line. We carry this boot in
smaller sizes for women's feet; check options
pull down menu for availability. NOTE: It is not
necessary to custom mold these to your feet, but
it'srecommended for the best possible fit. See
your local boot fitter.
Bottom Line: Lightweight, Dynafit compatible and
a G-Fit liner—just what you want when you're
in the backcountry. |

Pro Model
SC Spaceframe Ski Boot:
Salomon's Pro Model SC Spaceframe Alpine
Ski Boot takes big-mountain and racing performance
to a new level. Salomon's Spaceframe technology—for
skis and boots—centers on a fundamental
principle; excess material is eliminated, giving
you ultimate lightweight performance. Hexagonal
cutouts on the SC's outside edge promote faster,
more fluid edge changes, whether you're charging
big-mountain lines or chewing up in-bounds bumps.
The cutouts don't go all the way through to the
liner, and a plastic barrier with a watertight
seal keeps moisture away from your tootsies. The
Pro Model also features a heat-moldable My CustomFit
Race liner with impressive insulation value. The
SC has a Salomon fore/aft flex of 95 out of 120,
with 120 being their stiffest boot.
Bottom Line: The Pro Model SC Spaceframe will
rocket your skiing into the next dimension.

Arc'teryx
Theta AR Jacket - Men's:
The Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket for men is the most
popular Gore-Tex piece that Arc'teryx makes. It's
ambidextrous nature and versatile shape insures
that the Theta AR can stand up to any outdoor
activity. Arc'teryx originality pervades this
fowl-weather friend with innovation. Tiny Gore
tape backs up the precisely cut seams, that in
turn are sewn with a high-stitch count that is
almost double the industry standard. Wonderful
WaterTight zippers defend against all forms of
moisture and eliminate the need of bulky storm
flaps. Contrasting Gore-Tex body panels put more
durable materials in high wear areas and enhanced
breathability around your core, for a long lasting
jacket that can withstand backpacks, ski edges,
overly-friendly huskies, and spilled mochas. All
of this is sewn into a longer length jacket that
is lightweight, packable, and ready for action.
Bottom Line: This is the most popular jacket by
the company that's redefining hardcore outerwear.

The Gamma SV is the best selling jacket that Arc'teryx
makes, because this altruistic alpine softshell
keeps you covered in versatility. A durable and
highly breathable fabrication is cut to move through
each season without backing down. Treated for
water resistance; the Gamma SV acts equally well
as a spring-to-fall outer shell or dead-of-winter
mid layer. A practical waist length, with hem
mounted drawcord, insures that the Gamma SV will
layer well with other garments and won't interfere
with a climbing harness or backpack. Handy pocketing
stows valuables and keeps digits toasty.
Bottom Line: The Gamma SV has been leading the
way in softshell technology for years, and continues

skin with the latest technology and a tip and
