Bella Coola Heli Sports Inc (BCHS) Announces The Purchase Of Pantheon Heli Sports.

Bella Coola, BC Spring 2007 -- Bella Coola Heli Sports is pleased to announce the purchase of Pantheon Heli Sports. This has added half a million acres of diverse heliskiing terrain to BCHS's already extensive 1.5 million acre tenure, allowing the company to offer yet more unique heliskiing and heliboarding experiences.

Pantheon is located directly to the south of the existing Bella Coola heliskiing tenure and is just east of Mt. Waddington, the highest peak in British Columbia. The area is visually stunning, and has been used as a backdrop by a number of high profile Hollywood movies, including Franc Roddam's K2. Martin Scorsese's Kundun, and Jean Jacques Annaud's, Seven Years in Tibet.

After conducting three weeks of exploratory heli skiing in the Pantheon Mountains this past winter, BCHS is very excited about this new opportunity. The skiing potential is world class, and many runs are in excess of 5,000 vertical feet. Also, being on the drier east side of the Coast Range, the area is perfectly situated to take advantage of the abundant coastal snowfalls, while at the same time offering better snow quality and more sunny days.

Peter (Swede) Mattsson, President and operations manager of BCHS, says, the addition of Pantheon's terrain will give us yet another dimension to the already well known Bella Coola terrain. The views are spectacular, the tree skiing is incredible and the feedback from our guests this past winter was excellent. Furthermore, this geography provides the opportunity for longer runs and ultimately more vertical. Much of this terrain is still unexplored, so we invite you to join us for some first descent heliskiing adventures in 2008!

Located approximately half way between Whistler and Bella Coola, Pantheon Heli Sports is based out of the famed White Saddle Ranch, a 1,300 acre working cattle ranch on edge of the remote Chilcotin Plateau. This is cowboy country, so make sure to pack your Stetson and cowboy boots for some authentic western hospitality! However, with a maximum capacity of only eight people, the operation is very private and intimate, and people will need to book early to get a spot.

BCHS feels that the addition of Pantheon will complement their already successful heliskiing operation, by offering clients yet more choices and even more space in which to ski and board.
