The Mountains
These are the highest Mountains of the Coast Range, the Pantheons have some of the biggest peaks and longest runs anywhere. Because of their location on the east side of the coast mountains, the Pantheons recieve less snow than the coast, but it can be drier and lighter.

Although the Pantheon Helisports area actually covers three mountain ranges (the Niut, Waddington and Pantheon Ranges), our company is named for the Pantheon Range because of its' exciting terrain, history of adventure and unforgettable vistas.

The Pantheon Range is so coined because early explorers named the peaks for various gods from a diverse set of world beliefs: Mt. Thor, Mt. Vishnu, Mt. Zeus, and so on.

Location
Pantheon Helisports is one hour by air north of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Our heliskiing area is located on the east (lee) side of the Coast mountains, roughly halfway between Whistler and Bella Coola.  The nearest town is Tatla Lake, which is 3 hours west of Williams Lake by car, or 1 hour east of Anahim Lake.

Terrain
The Pantheon Helisports terrain is a half-million acres (695 square miles or 1,800 square kilometers) of 3,000 to 5,000 foot descents located in the confluence of three mountain ranges well known to climbers and professional skiers: the Waddington Range, Niut Range and Pantheon Range. The terrain is 40% strong intermediate, 40% advanced and 20% expert and adjacent to historic Mt. Waddinton, the tallest peak wholly in British Columbia. The ski terrain is the highest in elevation of any in the Coast Range, meaning that the snow tends to be lighter, drier, and less likely to be affected by winter rain.

The Pantheon and Waddington ranges form the divide between the Kliniklini River to the West, and the Homathko River to the East. The Pantheon Range consists of major uplifts separated by broad U shaped valleys.

Getting Here

Getting to the intimate Pantheon Lodge is as easy and quick as getting to Whistler: guests board our private 18 passenger pressurized aircraft in Vancouver and make the one hour flight to a modern airport then a scenic two and a half hour drive to the lodge.

The Heliport
Pantheon Helisports is based from White Saddle Aviation, the only helicopter service to Mt. Waddington and the surrounding mountains. Whitesaddle has a helicopter hangar, maintenance facilities, and fuel storage all located on private land.
